Jim is a Scottish freelance film critic based near London. Jim has written about film since 2010, contributing to Little White Lies, Film Inquiry, Cultured Vultures, Vague Visages, and others, covering festivals worldwide — including Sundance, Tribeca, London, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Cambridge. He is the Editor-in-Chief and lead critic at TAKE ONE Magazine. Jim has hosted and produced radio shows dedicated to film for Cambridge 105FM and Edinburgh's EH-FM, and co-hosts the TAKE ONE Presents… podcast. He has served on programming teams or jury panels for the Cambridge Film Festival, Cambridge African Film Festival, Edinburgh Short Film Festival, and Watersprite Film Festival.
